Serology-Allele Phenotype Component Edmond Yunis, Chair Marcelo Fernandez-Vina Co-Chair Goals: Determine the serological reactivity pattern and phenotype of specific HLA-A and -B alleles whose serotype is unknown. Identify the epitopes recognized by individual monoclonal antibodies. This will be achieved by a correlation analysis of serological reactivity pattens with sequence derived primary amino acid structures. This information may allow predictions of serological assignments of novel alleles. Establish a common international set of serological and monoclonal HLA class I antibodies.
