This is in continuation to our previous circular dated Jan 5th ,2000 regarding the HLA and Mycobacterial Disease component of the forthcoming 13th IHWC. Kindly refer to the time schedule that was communicated to you earlier in Nov, 1999 and is reproduced below:

Time Frame:

Collection and storage of DNA, serum and cells 15th Feb 2000
Shipment of DNA, sera and cells 15th Mar 2000
Completion of HLA, Nramp, sCD23 & cytokine studies 15th Sep 2000
Submission of data to central laboratory 15th Oct 2000
Compilation and interpretation of data 15th Mar 2000


We have already received samples from the Korean group (Gue-Tae-Chae). Many of you had indicated that low / intermediate / high resolution typing of HLA alleles will be carried out at your end. We will like to know the progress in this regard. Depending on your inputs, we will plan studies for other markers including Narmp1.
